Can you do carpets, stairs and upholstery in one visit?
Yes, and it's often the most practical way to do it. How do you clean carpeted stairs?
One step at a time. Stairs collect dirt on the front edge of each tread, where every foot lands, and in the corners where a vacuum doesn't reach well. I pre-spray, then rinse and extract each step, paying extra attention to the edges and corners. Stairs take longer than a flat room, so mention them when you ask for a quote. What should I know about cleaning a couch?
Most couches I clean are synthetic fabric, and wool or linen is possible with extra care. Before I start, I look at the fabric and test a hidden spot. Are mattresses worth cleaning?
If they have marks from spills, sweat or a child's accident, often yes. Hot water extraction flushes out and removes dirt, bacteria and allergens from the surface, and many marks lighten noticeably. Older yellowing may not lift fully. Send a photo and I'll tell you what to expect.
Can you plan around a room I need to use?
Yes. If you work from home or need a child's bedroom back first, tell me when you book and I'll plan the order of rooms around it. In a two-storey home, it also helps to think about which way people will walk while the carpet is still damp, so nobody has to cross a freshly cleaned room to get upstairs.
What about parking for townhouses?
Some newer townhouses share a narrow driveway or have one car park each. The hoses reach about 45 m from the van, so I can often park on the street and still reach the front door. Do the stairs cost extra?
Stairs are quoted as part of the job, based on how many there are and how soiled they are. Tell me about them when you text, and your price is confirmed before work starts.
Will you test my couch fabric first?
Yes. I look at the fabric and test a hidden spot before cleaning. If I don't think a fabric will clean safely, I'll tell you rather than risk it.
How should I prepare a mattress for cleaning?
Strip the bedding and leave the mattress on the base. If you can, open the window in that room afterwards to help it dry.
Can a headboard be cleaned while it's attached to the bed?
Usually, yes, as long as I can reach the fabric. Fabric headboards are cleaned in place.
Is there a minimum job size?
