Carpet cleaning that rinses the dirt out, not just off the top

We clean with a truck-mounted hot water extraction machine. Hot water loosens the grime deep in the pile and strong suction pulls it back out, so your carpet looks better and stays cleaner for longer.

How we do it

A careful process with truck-mounted equipment, adjusted to your carpet and how soiled it is.

  1. 1

    Walk-through and pre-inspection

We check the carpet type, high-traffic lanes and any stains, and tell you honestly what to expect.

  2. 2

    Vacuum if needed

We ask you to vacuum before we arrive. If it hasn’t been done, we vacuum first so loose soil doesn’t turn to mud.

  3. 3

    Pre-spray

A professional-grade pre-spray, safe for kids and pets, breaks down oily soil and traffic marks.

  4. 4

    Agitate where needed

On heavily soiled carpet, a counter-rotating brush (CRB) machine works the pre-spray deep into the pile and loosens the dirt from every side of the fibre.

  5. 5

    Hot water extraction rinse

Hot water rinses the fibres and powerful truck-mounted suction lifts the dirt out. Where suitable, a fibre rinse leaves the carpet soft and free of sticky residue.

  6. 6

    Groom and dry

Where needed we groom the pile so it dries evenly, and give you simple tips to speed up drying.

Good for

  • Wool, nylon and polyester carpets
  • Cut pile and loop pile
  • Whole homes, single rooms, hallways and stairs
  • Rentals, family homes and holiday homes

Good to know

  • Drying time depends on the weather and the carpet: as little as an hour on a warm, breezy day, up to 2–3 days for thick or wool carpet in cold, damp weather.
  • Please move small items and anything fragile. We can work around larger furniture.
  • Some marks have changed the fibre itself and can only be lightened. We'll point those out before we start.

Questions about carpet cleaning

Is this the same as steam cleaning?

Yes. Hot water extraction is the method most people call steam cleaning. The carpet is rinsed with hot water and the water is extracted straight back out.

How often should carpets be cleaned?

Most homes do well with a clean every 12 to 18 months. Homes with pets, young children or heavy foot traffic often benefit from a clean every 6 to 12 months.

Can I walk on the carpet straight away?

Yes, carefully, in clean socks or bare feet. Avoid outdoor shoes and put furniture back once it's dry.

Real jobs, photographed on the day. Every carpet is different, so results vary with the fibre, the stain and how long it has been there.
